Welcome to Dunelm Dressage

Dunelm Dressage was set up during the summer of 2005 at Houghall College in Durham. Its aim is to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance, following a serious riding accident that I sustained in 2004. I even made the papers (Have a read).

Things started off small, then grew in both size and popularity and ended up being extremely successful. Last year we managed to raise £3,500! I really enjoyed organising the competitions throughout that first season so I decided that I wanted to keep on doing them for such a worthy cause – after all I wouldn’t be here without them!

You will find that I am totally committed to Dunelm Dressage as a long-term venture in providing high quality, well organised dressage competitions in the North East. We aim to use excellent safe facilities, always attempt to get listed judges and carry out all competitions under British Dressage rules.

We run all levels of competition, from Prelim to Advanced, regular training clinics from top National and International trainers, informative social evenings and trips away to watch top class dressage riders in action – all with the aim of improving your riding skills.
